Union Representative

Based in Selbyville, DE

 

UFCW Local 27 is seeking a dedicated and motivated Union Representative to support and advocate for our members in Delaware on the Eastern Shore. 

Responsibilities: 

• Represent members in workplace matters, including grievances and disciplinary meetings 
• Investigate and process member grievances from start to resolution 
• Build strong relationships with members and employers 
• Educate members on their rights, benefits, and contract language 
• Enforce collective bargaining agreements 
• Conduct site visits and member outreach 

Qualifications: 

• Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience (union, labor relations, or related field required) 
• Bilingual (Spanish and Creole) preferred 
• Strong communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills 
• Ability to work independently and travel throughout the Eastern Shore 
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation 
• Ability to work flexible hours (evenings/weekends as needed)
