SUMMARY: The LIUNA National Pension & Retirement Fund office is seeking an IT Supervisor to support the day-to-day technology operations and infrastructure for the 5 Benefits Funds administered at the National Fund Office in Washington, D.C. This position reports directly to the IT Manager.
The ideal candidate has a strong information technology background, excellent problem-solving skills, is customer-service oriented, and operates at the highest level of professionalism and ethical standards.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following (other duties may be assigned):
- Provide first-level technical support to end-users for hardware, software, and network-related issues.
- Monitor and maintain Cisco Meraki switches and firewall.
- Install, configure, and maintain desktops, laptops, printers, and other end-user devices.
- Manage user accounts and permissions in Active Directory, GSuite for Business, Bridgeway Benefit Systems, and other software systems.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues with hardware, software, and network connectivity.
- Assist in the maintenance of IT inventory, documentation, and support system.
- Support network infrastructure, including switches, firewalls, and wireless access points under the guidance of senior staff.
- Escalate complex technical issues to the IT Manager or vendors.
- Assist in implementing IT projects and deploying new technologies.
- Other duties may be assigned.

- Demonstrated knowledge of computer hardware, software, and networking principles.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with proficiency in Cisco hardware/software, Windows operating systems, G-Suite for Business and Microsoft Office 365.
- Ability to communicate effectively.
- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational ability.
- Ability to operate consistently with high level of professionalism and ethical standards is a must.
- Experience with unions in a professional office or nonprofit environment is preferred.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- 5+ years of hands-on IT support or helpdesk experience.
- CompTIA A+, Network+, or similar certifications are a plus.
