Office Manager

Based in Glendale, CA

 

Job Summary:
We are seeking an organized and detail-oriented Office Manager to run our union office. The ideal candidate will provide full administrative support for the Glendale Teachers Association.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensuring efficient office operations and providing full administrative support for the Glendale Teachers Association
  • Work under the direct supervision of the Association President and/or designee and also provide support for the GTA’s Executive Director
  • Attend GTA related meetings and appropriate office trainings as needed
  • Compile information and create/maintain databases
  • Basic bookkeeping and accounting
  • Other related duties as assigned

Skills:

  • Time management and ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently
  • Knowledge of Google Suite for organizing documents
  • Knowledge of QuickBooks for basic bookkeeping
  • Strong customer service skills to interact professionally with educators
  • Excellent phone etiquette
  • Experience in front desk operations to manage tasks effectively
  • Ability to manage calendars accurately and coordinate appointments smoothly
  • Proficiency in data entry for maintaining accurate records
  • Attention to detail for proofreading documents

Job Type: 35 hours per week. 
Work Location: In person
Schedule: Day shift, No weekends
Pay Range: $25.00 – $30.00 per hour based on experience.
