Job Title: Outreach Specialist
Are you passionate about education, labor, and equity? Join the 1199SEIU Training and Upgrading Fund as an Outreach Specialist and play a vital role in supporting Personal Care Attendants (PCAs) in the Homecare sector through quality training and development programs. This is a great opportunity to contribute to an organization that empowers healthcare workers and strengthens the long-term care workforce.
This current role is Full Time, Temporary starting as soon as possible and through January 9, 2026. This work will require the candidate to work remotely for the Homecare Sector in Connecticut. There is a potential that this role could be a Full Time, Permanent role in the future working in the Homecare Sector in Rhode Island. This work would be hybrid—from home office and on location—in the Providence, Rhode Island Area.
What You’ll Do:
- Assisting PCAs with enrollment in mandatory Orientations and providing all outreach for these sessions before suspension.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date enrollment records in databases and tracking systems (Excel, Google Sheets, etc.)
- Respond to inquiries via phone, email, and text in a professional and timely manner.
- Collaborate with the team to ensure that each PCA has access to all training programs and other Union benefits including referring to other members of the team, The State or 1199NE Union.
- Follow up with PCAs to obtain missing contact information, approaching suspension or documents.
- Stay informed about program requirements, updates, and deadlines.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and organizational policies and procedures regarding enrollment.
- Prepare and submit reports as needed.
- Other duties as assigned.
What You’ll Bring:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred (especially in business, healthcare, education, or related field).
- Previous experience in a customer service, admissions, or administrative role preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational abilities.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and databases (e.g. Salesforce).
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a requirement.
